About IClawOS

IClawOS is an AI-native Linux distribution (based on Ubuntu/Debian) designed for general users, knowledge workers, and creators, functioning as a 24/7 "digital butler". Its defining feature is a deeply integrated AI that can not only answer questions but also autonomously operate the system, manage files, and execute complex workflows.

Three-Layer Architecture

System Core Layer

Features an "Orchestrator" with a hybrid AI model router. Uses lightweight local models (like Qwen 2.5) for privacy-focused tasks, can switch to more powerful cloud models for complex reasoning, and maintains persistent user memory via vector database.

Execution Sandbox Layer

The key security innovation is the "Pi-embedded" engine. It runs every AI task in a temporary, isolated sandbox (using cgroup/namespace) with strict, permission-based controls over file access, network, and application automation to prevent misuse.

User Space

Offers a global AI entry point (hotkey/voice), out-of-box setup via natural language, and a "Skill Store" for one-click installation of automated capabilities (e.g., file management, report generation).
